In this book the author attempts to answer many questions about Revolutionary War patriots and their 17th-century colonial predecessors (Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How?). Sixteen chapters of this 860-page book feature individual patriots--those who served or contributed to the American Revolutionary War. The chapters summarize what is known about the family of origin of each patriot and of his or her spouse. Each chapter then traces their immediate descendants and a few lines that come down to the present day. A 17-century chapter deals collectively with many of the earlier lines.
