This book lists every known gravestone, black family cemeteries included, in Dare County, North Carolina, as well as listings of any persons reported to be buried in Dare County without inscribed markers. Annotations, such as information about spouses and parents of the deceased, have been added to almost all entries. The research for this book is current up to the end of 1999. The book also contains a first and last name index of the deceased, as well as maiden names of women and any annotated names.
