Kings County, New York, is today essentially co-extensive with the borough of Brooklyn, the county seat for Kings. This Register of the Early Settlers of King's County is the standard work on the subject, and it is literally crammed with genealogies of the 17th-century pioneers of the county, most of whom were of Dutch, or, to a lesser extent, British, origin.
