Known as the gateway to the West, Missouri became the home and final resting place to hundreds of thousands seeking the freedom and opportunities available on the American frontier. This AncestryView CD (produced by Ancestry.com) contains records extracted primarily from newspaper obituaries appearing from 1822 to 1994 and pertaining to 85 of Missouri's 115 counties. Also available on this CD is a supplemental group of 50,000 death records from newspapers published in the Missouri counties of Callaway (1846-1926), Montgomery (1875-1994), and Cole (1884-1907).
