In 1901 and 1902, the Joseph Habersham [Georgia] chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution published a weekly genealogy advice column in the Atlanta Sunday Constitution. These columns, which contained family sketches, genealogies, transcriptions of court records, lists of marriages, military records, pedigrees, and so forth, were later published in three hardcover volumes.
At the present time, only Volume II of the Historical Collections of the Joseph Habersham Chapter, D.A.R. remains in print, and it is very low in
stock. This volume contains numerous references to pioneering Georgians, as
evidenced by its name index to 5,000 individuals. We encourage Georgia
researchers to acquire their copy of this scarce book while they still have
the opportunity.
