English Origins of New England Families is a consolidation of all the articles published by the New England Historic Genealogical Society"s Committee on English and Foreign Research in the pages of its journal, The New England Historical and Genealogical Register (NEHGR). This set treats the immigrant origins of perhaps 1,000 or more families, 200 or so in the most thoroughly documented monographs ever published.

The fully indexed English Origins CD that comes with the books contains the images of the pages of the three-volume set described above, AND it contains the images of a second three-volume collection of genealogies on "English Origins" that appeared in NEHGR independently of the Committee on English and Foreign Research. Treating over 1,500 families and referencing 150,000 individuals, this CD houses all the immigrant origin data published in the first 137 volumes of the Register.
