Compiled by Mrs. Jeanne Jordan Tabb from the official application papers of Texas Society members, this original work consists of an alphabetical list of the proven ancestors of the National Society Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century upon whose ancestry the Texas Society memberships are based. The following information is provided on each of the 2,000 TSCDXVIIC ancestors found in the work: dates and places of birth, marriage, and death, where available; name of spouse(s) with dates; service; names of children; and the names and membership numbers of TSCDXVIIC members linked to that ancestor. A complete name index with nearly 10,000 entries follows at the back of the work.
