This new work includes estate settlements of people who died intestate in this pivotal county. These particular Chancery books also include divorces and some Civil War information. Some of the records give reference to years before 1842. These records were located in the attic of the old Wilson County Courthouse. They were slated to be destroyed, but were rescued by a local resident. He loaned them so that this work could be done. Much of the information is to be found no place else.
