A grandmother has written in a narrative style, with comments to her grandchildren, a history for each line of the grandchildren's ancestors. Volume 1 begins: "An Open Letter to My Precious Grandchildren - Kristin, Kevin, Jay, and Timmy." Volume 2 begins: "An addendum to Grandmother's Letter (published in 1992) to: My Dear Grandchildren - Kristin, Kevin, Jay, and Tim. Since completing Volume 1, grandmother continued to research to clarify and expand much of the family history. For 75 years, grandmother assumed that "Bowen" was her maiden name, only to discover that her ancestors were Boing/Boring/Boreing. This opened up a great deal of new information."

Volume 2 builds upon Volume 1 (does not repeat Volume 1 information), by expanding and adding new findings for the following families: Bowen/Boing/Boring/Boreing, Bullett/Bullitt/Bullott, Byrd, Chandler, Coffee, Hjelm, Morris, Moss, Price, Rucker, Stapp/Stepp, and Trigg. Volume 1 also provided information on additional families: Canterbury, Dearien, Johnson, Kennedy, Lo Monaco, McCown, Mariana, Matheny, Meadows, Myers, Perkio, Smith, Tobin, and Waybright.
