This work identifies about 25,000 Georgians whose birth, marriage, or death was recorded in one of the more than 600 Bibles transcribed herein. For the most part, the dates of coverage extend from the late 18th through the late 19th century. Although the volume lacks an every-name index, there is an alphabetical index to the owners of the Bibles. The researcher will also find an appendix consisting of four lottery books for the period 1819-1821 pertaining to Milledgeville and Baldwin County.
