Part of a series (see also Item 9151) that picks up where James M. Magruder's Index of Maryland Colonial Wills leaves off, this book contains an index to persons (testators) whose wills are filed with the local Register of Wills for Howard and Kent counties. The index is arranged chronologically under each letter of the alphabet and gives the name of the testator, date of the will, and the liber and folio where the original may be found. The index for Kent County includes references to a number of colonial wills that may have been omitted from the Magruder index.
